In the game of Marvel Snap, priority determines which player’s cards are revealed first in a turn. The player with the most locations won has priority. If players are tied for locations, priority goes to the player with the most total power. Thankfully the game tracks who has priority and highlights the nameplate of the player who has it!

Priority is important because it can affect how certain cards interact with each other. For example, if you have priority and play Shang-Chi, he will destroy any cards your opponent plays that have 9 or more power. However, if your opponent has priority and plays The Hulk, Shang-Chi will not be able to destroy him because he was already on the board.

Other Affected Marvel Snap Cards:

*Alioth: Destroys all unrevealed cards at a location.
*Cosmo: Prevents On Reveal abilities from activating at a location.
*Enchantress: Moves a card from one location to another.
*Ghost: Your cards are always revealed last.

Being aware of priority is important for making informed decisions about when to play your cards. If you know that your opponent has priority, you may want to wait to play a card that is vulnerable to their abilities. Conversely, if you have priority, you can use that to your advantage by playing cards that can disrupt your opponent’s plans.

In some cases, having or not having priority can be the difference between winning and losing a game. For example, if your opponent is playing a deck that includes Kitty Pryde, Hit-Monkey, and other cheap cards, they may be able to overwhelm you on the final turn if they have priority. However, if you have priority, you can play Killmonger to destroy Kitty Pryde before she can activate her ability.

By understanding how priority works, you can gain a significant advantage in your Marvel Snap matches.
