Marvel Snap fam! Buckle up for a wild ride because the latest update just dropped a whole lotta balance changes on our heads!
[New] 6/8 – On Reveal: Remove the text from all unrevealed enemy cards here.
Alioth’s iconic purple cloud got a makeover. It no longer obliterates enemy cards, but instead silences their fancy text effects. This means Magneto can finally throw some shade back at Alioth, which is pretty epic.
[New] 2/3 – On Reveal: Until the end of next turn, your 4-Cost cards cost 1 less.
Zabu, the 4-cost champion, took a major hit. Now his cost reduction only lasts a turn. The devs are worried Zabu’s been overshadowing other cards, and this is their way to shake things up. What do you think? Will Zabu decks still dominate, or will other strategies rise from the ashes?
[New] 5/7 – On Reveal: Players can only play 1 card next turn.
Sandman’s getting a bit less sand-tastic. His power is boosted, but his effect only lasts a turn now. This means he can still shut down those pesky multi-card shenanigans, but the game won’t grind to a halt.
[New] 5/7 – On Reveal: Destroy each card here with 3 or less Power.
Lady Deathstrike also got a power upgrade, but her target is more specific. She now goes after wimpy cards with 3 power or less. This makes her a more consistent threat, but maybe not quite the board-clearing monster some players were hoping for.
[New] 3/3 – Ongoing: +6 Power if your hand has one or fewer cards.
Strong Guy got a little less restrictive. Now he gets his power boost as long as you only have one card or none in your hand. This could be a game-changer for discard decks – what crazy combos can you cook up now?
There’s also a couple of minor text tweaks to Shadow King and Pixie, just to keep things nice and clear.
