CD PROJEKT RED, the renowned video game development studio celebrated for its highly-praised The Witcher game series and the best-selling title Cyberpunk 2077, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the global media company, Anonymous Content. Their joint endeavor aims to bring the captivating world of Cyberpunk 2077 to life through a live-action project.

Anonymous Content is an independent media powerhouse renowned for producing Emmy-winning series like True Detective and Mr. Robot, as well as Academy Award-winning films including The Revenant and Spotlight. In this exciting collaboration, CD PROJEKT RED is teaming up with Anonymous Content Studios’ leading figures, including Garret Kemble, Head of Television, Ryan Schwartz, Director of Development, and David Levine, Chief Creative Officer. Levine, an industry veteran, previously held the position of HBO’s EVP and Co-Head of Drama for over a decade, overseeing the production of acclaimed series like True Detective, Westworld, and True Blood. He was also instrumental in the early seasons of Game of Thrones.

Anonymous Content Studios has an impressive roster of ongoing and upcoming projects, such as Saint X, directed by Dee Rees, Shantaram starring Charlie Hunnam, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with Samuel L. Jackson and Dominique Fishback, and the second season of Random Acts of Flyness. The list continues with season four of True Detective featuring Jodie Foster, Time Bandits by Taika Waititi, Disclaimer by Alfonso Cuarón starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and Savant, led by Jessica Chastain.

Currently in its early development stages, this project is actively seeking a skilled screenwriter to craft a fresh narrative within the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Anonymous Content’s Garret Kemble, David Levine, Ryan Schwartz, Bard Dorros, and Charlie Scully will produce the project, with Anonymous Content’s AC Studios serving as the studio behind it. The development will unfold in close collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED’s creative team, and further details about the project will emerge as the partnership between Anonymous Content and CD PROJEKT RED evolves.

CD PROJEKT RED has a history of successfully expanding its beloved video game worlds into new realms. Notably, the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, crafted in collaboration with Studio Trigger, earned widespread acclaim and major awards, including Anime of the Year from IGN and Crunchyroll. In 2023, CD PROJEKT RED also released the novel Cyberpunk 2077: NO_COINCIDENCE, penned by best-selling sci-fi author Rafal Kosik. Additionally, the brand-new board game Gangs of Night City is currently in production by board game publisher CMON.
