Tencent Games has filed a trademark application for Honor of Kings: World in India. The trademark was filed on November 9, 2023, and is currently showing its status as “Marked for Exam.” This means that Tencent is waiting to hear back from the Indian government on whether or not the trademark will be approved.

The trademark application was spotted by Stuff Listings. Honor of Kings: World is an upcoming open-world action RPG game that was announced in November 2021. The game will be available for iOS and Android devices.

The trademark application process in India can take several months to complete. There is no release date set for Honor of Kings: World, so it is possible that it will be some time before the game is available in India.

Honor of Kings: World is a spin-off of Honor of Kings, a 5v5 MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game that was developed by Tencent’s Timi Studio. Honor of Kings was released in China and is the world’s most-played mobile MOBA game with 100 million daily players. It is also the first mobile game to generate $10 billion in revenue.

Honor of Kings was available in India until it was banned under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. This ban also led to the ban of Tencent’s PUBG Mobile in India. If the trademark application is approved, Honor of Kings: World may be able to be released in India.
